Looking for a flexible way to send a scattered field of particles into an .OBJ. Form looks like part of the picture, yet I haven't seen any option to designate how closely it adheres to the object. Even better would be a magnetic locator that actually pulls particles towards it. How would one go about sending particles from an arbitrary global location to a local location specified by the .obj? Considering PFlow at this point.
In Form, you would have the end position be controlled by the vertices in your object. For the random beginning position you have several options: you could use Disperse to randomly distribute the particles for the beginning position, or the Fractal Field, or even use an Image (with or without fractal influence) to offset the particles.
Element 3D is another good option for such particle animation, you can also use an OBJ to set the particle positions there.
