Hey there, I'm working on an effect that has particles "flowing" down channels. These channels split and turn here and there and I was wondering what the most efficient way to animate the stream splitting might be. Right now, I'm using several emitters , one at each split in these channels, to give the effect of the particles moving down in both directions. This is working out all right, but the massive amount of emitters is slowing my workstation to a crawl, and making adjustments is becoming more difficult as more emitters are added.
The channels themselves are paths imported from Illustrator, one path for one channel. Is there a better way to pull this off?
