I'm looking for a little advice for a composition I'd like to do. I've got a close up of text from a page in a book, and I'd like the shine effect to illuminate a single word on the page. It seems pretty simple, but I've had a bit of a time trying to accomplish this. I'm a pretty advanced After Effects user, though I'm somewhat new to the Shine effect in Trapcode. Does anyone have any advice on how I might achieve this effect?
Fernando is right, but bear in mind that since most pages are white or a shade of white, the Additive effect of Shine will most likely be underwhelming. This is why you most often see Additive effects over darker backgrounds - the brighter pixel information is added to the darker background to make a convincing glow/shine.
