I need to create a background with the 'lens bokeh' type effect that is seen around a fair bit.
I want the particles to be fading and shining gently and drifting from left to right, also with slight rotation movement and DOF.
I understand i need to make a polygon shape and use that as my polygon texture.
but I am having trouble with:
1. getting the particle to appear shiny as I pass a light over it(which I am doing in my particle precomp)
2. main problem - I am not sure how to set up the emitter to control the position of the particles to have them drift past the camera with 3d depth. At the moment they only seems to emit from a point.
I am sure this is simple to set up, but I am struggling. With a tight deadline looming, any answers more than welcome...
I'm using Particular 2.0..
So I guess this means my particles can react to 3d lights?
Any suggestions welcome, mainly on how to achieve the position of these polygon particles drifting past!
