I've been battling with trying to get some particle effects surrounding some blue screened footage I've shot. It took me ages to discover the whole obscuration layer thing so I assumed it'd be easy just to set the layer that's been keyed out to obscure the far particles and allow the close ones to appear in front of the keyed layer.
However! I can't get particular to see the keyed layer as a keyed layer, all it seems to do is treat it as the full frame that existed before keylight was applied.
So I'm getting particles infront and behind my keyed out footage, but the near particles are appearing in a box shape around the keyed out person and the far particles are only appearing outside of that box.
