Offset the emitter position
on Jul 2, 2009 at 8:59:33 pm

I am trying to make some text as if it were being cut out of a sheet of metal. I found a tutorial at MaxAfter but my text is a bit more complex. I drew out all my paths that I want my emitter to follow but for some reason when I paste those paths in as position markers in the emitter position they seem to be offset. I tried adjusting the anchor point but then that effects my particles when they fall to the ground.
I tried writing an expression but I'm still not an ace on this. Any ideas?

First, I am assuming you are using Particular. Next, note that particular's emitter settings split up xy and z parameters. Is this the cause of your problem?

Thanks for your help. I am using Particular. I re-posted this question over in the AE Expression forum. Dan Ebberts was able to help me out.
