Hello. I'm trying to create an effect with particular that, on the surface would seem easy enough but I can't seem to solve it.

The shot calls for an emitter which is moving in the shot to spit out smoke. Easy enough but the hard part is that the smoke needs to get "sucked" into a point on the other side of the comp. I thought using the Spherical Field with a negative value could do this but because the emitter moves around so much, the particles end up going into the field and then getting spit out again, etc.

I suppose another way to visualize this would be the beam from a ghostbusters proton pack. I could easily accomplish this with a Motion Path but, because both the emitter and end point need to move throughout the shot, I can't use that method.

Does anyone have any suggestions that might help with a shot like this?
