Particular Missile Trail

Hey Everyone,
I'm trying desperately to create a missile smoke trail with particular with little to no success. What I'm going for is something along the lines of this:

I'm having a hell of a time getting anything to look right, most notably the 3d path of the emitter and then getting the camera to follow behind. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks so much!

it's a tough one to get perfect, but here are some of the things to look at...

first of all, nothing is really moving here. The environment is likely a still being moved around and rotated, and using the wiggle expression the camera is being "shaken" a bit.

I believe the emitter is just being rotated and moved in the x,y plane in relation to the camera movements or vice versa.

there is no actual 3d path that the emitter is taking. The emitter and the camera are not moving in Z space. The background is swinging around and giving the illusion of motion.

Do you have the emitter spewing out the huge smoke trail already? I think there is a preset for that one...

Could you put an .AEP project file to pick apart for your other missile trail? The one that looks as if it IS zooming off in the distance? The one shown here: http://www.trapcode.com/movies/smoketrail_groundcam_h.mov

Unless that's the same idea as the first one. :)
