Particular Alpha Bounce

Hi there,

Is there a way to use the alpha of a layer as the boundaries to bounce off particles?
For example, in the linked image, I'd like to have my particles bouncing inside the red tube.
The red tube is an image with alpha created from a 3d program.

I saw an option in particular to bounce off the alpha of a layer, but I couldn't get that to work...

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance!

You can do this in Particle Playground, which ships with AE. The effect renders much slower than Particular, but it allows you to set boundaries in which the particles will bounce around using masks.

you could just put a layer over the layer of the red object and make the dimensions the same as the inside of the red object, then have them bounce off the edges (I think...)
