Soundkey Issue CS3
on Jul 30, 2007 at 8:34:25 pm

I am having an issue with Soundkey, where if I do a full song, about 3 minutes with the 3 ranges set to capture the keyframes, it consistently freezes up AE CS3. I can do a series of 30 second clips, but then I consistently need to purge my cache, which gets annoying. Anyone else having this problem, or know of a solution to my problem?

Thanks

If it is set up generate one keyframe for every frame, that is an awful lot of keyframes (30*60*3 = 5400) so that may take a while. It is normally best to do 30secs at a time and then simply slide the work area further down the timeline and hit apply again.

It seems something changed internally in AE, not sure. But the good thing is now keyframes are generated in a snap, it used to take a while in AE7. It is probably some kind of optimization and when there are too many keyframes the stack overflows. Just keep the work area around 30 secs and it should work fine.

Thanks Peder, I will keep that in mind. Is there a better way to set up the keyframing? Like should I do 1 every 15 frames or 30 frames?
