rotation based on motion?
on May 22, 2007 at 8:01:36 pm

I need to animate many arrows emitting from a center point outwards.

Particluar is perfect. I use the "Uniform" direction and the "Point" emitter.

however, I need the arrows to all point outwards. Right now they are all rotated in the same direction. Is there any way to do this?

you know thinking about this, my first thought was: "Now thats a good idea... i don't think it can be done though"

Then i realized, how is this supposed to look? Remember trapcode particular is a 3d plugin. those particles move in 3d space. and custom particles are scaled by size based on their distance from the camera, the image is only 2d. I don't think it would work out.

We'll at least they could use the projected 2D angle so, for example, if emitting arrows outwards, they would all point outwards.
Noted feature request, thanks!
