Shadows with Trapcode LUX
on Feb 5, 2007 at 11:53:41 pm

I am new to trapcode LUX and consider myself an average user of Adobe After Effects 6.5. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to create shadows with LUX. I have seen the samples and tutorials on the tracode webpage. But none of them show me how to put a spotlight on some text and have the shadows show up on the floor. I have figured out how to get the spot light to shine on the floor, just not the shadows. Can anyone help me out with some direction or by sending me a simple project or something like that?

Thanks very much!
Tim

Lux does not create the shadows, they have nothing to do with Lux.
Look at layers' properties for casting shadows and lights properties to cast shadows.

Would that be the properties of the floor or the light or both?

Thanks very much for replying!

On both the layer and the light. The layer has to be in 3d mode though.
Just select the layers and hit aa in quick succession on the keyboard and you will see the properties for shadows and stuff.
