Snow on letters

Hi

I've used one of the snow preset to create falling snow.
I would like that snowflakes just stick on the top of the word "Snow".Any suggestions?
It's quite easy to get them on the whole word but not for the top.

If you are looking to create caps, try to create a suitable shape in a pre-comp. Use two duplicates of the text in question - offset one of them and apply it as an inverted matte. Keep in mind that collision in Particular happen perpendicular to the plane, not around the Alpha contours.

No, it's not. As bad as it is - you can't have both Particular's flexibility and colliding contours. Anyway, a snow-buildup can be created much better with other techniques. If you follow my signature to my website, you will find a text preset all rigged with expresions (and thus fully animatable) that could give you what you need. Give it a try and if you have questions, feel free to ask.
