More than one obscuration layer?
on Nov 17, 2006 at 3:23:25 am

Is it possible to have more than one obscuration layer? I have 2D photoshop images in 3d space with a moving camera and 3d particular stroke. I have each stroke set to obscure one of photoshop people in the space, but when the camera moves it loses the 3D effect on the other images that arent obscured. Whats the easiest way to solve this?

Nope, no multiple obscurations inside Particular. There are some ways around this, though. Either use classical matte techniques to cut out parts of the stroke or use the visibility options in Particular to your advantag. Split up your stroke into multiple segments by duplicating your Particular layer. Then adjust the near clip and far clip distances. Assuming you halfway know where in the depths of your scene your 3D layers are, you can assign a different one to each instance of Particular and they will act accordingly.
