Particular - making a layer stick to the ground and stop rotation

I'm using Particular 1.0,
I want to animate custom particles that fall from the sky
and land on a floor. So far it's easy. The problem is that the
custom particles need to be rotated, and then obviously stop to
rotate when they hit the floor.
(I use a photoshop layer for the particles)

I've tried with "start at birth - play once", but there is to much
randomnes, so some particles rotate when they land, and others stop
to rotate in the air.

Anyone that has a smart solution?

That's not really possible. you'd have to animate the custom particle to make the stop of the rotation coincide with the death of the particle which isn't very feasible.

ok, thanks.

It looks ok though when I stop the rotation on the custom particle after a few seconds.
Some of them continue to rotate a bit on the ground, but it's not to bad.
