Is it possible to do this with 3D Stroke?
on Jun 19, 2006 at 8:40:13 pm

Hi all!
is it possible to position 3dstroke like in this example;
http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/5510/3dstroke5le.jpg
i can do it by splitting the image as foreground and background but is there anyway beside that?with the zdepth?i tried but couldnt figure it out...and splitting images in a composition with many elements sounds like the hardway...i know normal paths dont have Z axis..3dstroke manages to do it in a fake way..but i need its zdepth match with other images with alpha channels too
thanx in advance

No, 3DStroke has no automated obscuration. You have to carefully mask and clip your stuff manually. If your shot isn't moving too much, you may be able to create a fake Z-depth by putting together some b/w gradienst and use that, but beyond that there's not much you can do to facilitate the task. The life of an aspiring mograph artist sometimes is damned hard and that is what we get paid for ;o).
