square 3d stroke
on Jun 7, 2006 at 10:05:35 pm

I know this question was posted last year, but I would like to add this as a feature request for any future updates for 3Dstroke. I would like to change the circle that 3Dstroke generates to a square and also have that square rotate based on the angle of the motion. Basically I need to do revealing strokes but with a hard flat edge that is always squared off even as its curving.

You could also try this method:

Use "write-on"as your stroke.

Create a small solid square the same size as your brush stroke.

Tie the position of the square to the write-on brush position using an expression, and turn on the Auto-Orientation for that square.

This way, the 'tip' of the write-on brush is always square, and always oriented along the path of the stroke.

Cheers,

Harry
