3d path for 3d stroke
on May 24, 2006 at 10:13:03 am

How do you go about drawing the path which the stroke uses in 3d? It is straight forward enough to draw and where you want the stroke to go in x,y but I want to move the control points on the path back and forward in z so i can control where the line precisley

The only way i see of making it go in to a 3rd dimension is by bending it?

I am very stuck and would love the help.

Thanks in advance

Mike

As far as i know, you cant draw mask lines in 3d space, however you can draw in 2d and rotate the layer with the mask in 3d space

Nope, can't do. 3DStroke uses it's own little 3D universe and projects it onto a 2D plane. For what you want to do, Particular would be a better choice (or a 3D program).

I would use a combination of layers with 3d stroke. One to handle the X Y stuff and however many needed for the Z. And just attempt to line them up. If that doesnt work you need to move on to a different app or plug in.
