A Zoom Effect Using Shine?
on May 3, 2006 at 9:05:11 pm

Hi all.

I'm a new user to trapcode plug ins and hopefully, I'll be able to explain what I'm trying to do.

I downloaded a clip that was done using the Shine plug in.
It's in two parts.
The first part is a distant shot and the second is a close up shot.
The transition between the two shots, is a zoom effect using shine.

Can anyone out there please explain how to do this in real simple noob speak or perhaps guide me to a tutorial?

Thanks in advance & I hope this isn't too noobish!

This is done by applying shine to the wide shot. You want to place your center point for shine where you want to zoom to. Adjust the zoom amount with "ray length" then in the "colorize" section of Shine you want to choose colorize based on "RGB"... the rest is all tweeking the raylength correctly and lining up the 2 shots as you transition.
