Pasting output keyframes to time-remap layer. . .

Hi There,

In SoundKeys, after I generate the output keyframes for my first Range, I copy them, but when I paste them into the Time-Remap layer they keep the image still. What are the appropriate settings soundkeys so that it can work with time remapping. Do I have to use a different "Type" paramter and a different "fall off"?

Thanks!

Arie

Time Remap uses - errm - time, which Soundkeys doesn't output directly, no matter what settings you use. Here's what you should do:

a) Make the custom range in Soundkeys equal the length of your composition/ layer in frames (e.g. 0-500)

b) Apply an expression to the target parameter such as

framesToTime(thisComp.layer("Soundkeys").effect("Soundkeys")("Output 1"))

whatever happened to that great example called "rythmfly", it used to be on trapcodes page

that was a really nice example of what soundkeys could do with time remapping, complete with a script.

if anyone still has that, that should be the answer to this, no?
