Illustrator transparency in particular
on Nov 14, 2005 at 8:09:09 pm

I am have an Illustrator CS2 file with one of the paths filled with partial transparency. This little object appears correctly in AE 6.5 as an independent layer, but when used as a custom particle, it comes out fully opaque - the partial tranparency is lost. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance!

This is how I reccomed using Illustrator artwork for custom particles:

Create a 100*100 comp.
Place Illustrator artwork in it and scale so it fits.

Place this comp in a new full size comp.
Create a comp sized solid and apply Particular.
Select the illustrator comp and a custom particle.

Set up Particle>Size.
