help with after effects exporting settings
on Sep 24, 2005 at 3:45:18 pm

I am using after effects 6.5 porofessional, and I need to export a movie with these settings, which I cannot find anywhere.

1920x1080 29.97fps uncompressed 10bit 4:2:2 square pixels, upper field dominance......

I have been able to find the 1920x1080 29.97fps uncompressed
but have no idea where to set it to 10bit 4:2:2 square pixels, upper field dominance......

Please help me!!
Thx
M.

My tip is to ask this in the general AE forum at the creative cow.

Of course not, then I would have told you! This forum is for Trapcode software, in the general AE forum you have a much better chance of finding an answer since your question is not related to our software.

After Effects does not use 10 bits per channel (bpc) in that case you need to set your project and output module to 16 bpc. The downconversion to 10 bpc is then done by choosing the correct CoDec (e.g. Blackmagig HD). AE will take of this automatically. The fields can alos be set on the output module. After Effects will not output YUV files, so that 4:2:2 thing is of no importance. It gives you full RGB which will always equate to full 4:4:4. Only your editing system/ video equipment will change this to 4:2:2 YUV once you import for instance your Quicktime file.
