Not sure what type of animating you are trying to achieve (postion, color, etc.), but you could place your ribbon layer into a pre-comp (animate it within the comp if you need to do it there) and then make that precomp your custom particle type.

can you explain it to me in english. Waht i want to achieve is to animate red ribbons falling from the top of the image and slowly fall to the floor.

Ok this is pretty easy.
Make your ribbon in photoshop, or whatever making sure it's no bigger than 100x100 pixels.

Drop that layer into your comp.
Turn that layer's visibity off.
Make a new layer above it at same size as comp.
Add particular to this new layer.
Twirl open Particle and change default sphere to custom.
Make custom layer from none to your above "invisible layer".
Your done!

This is available in the help stuff too.
Shows examples. Click options and then help at the bottom of the window.
