Soundkeys - moving along to the beat
on May 17, 2005 at 6:28:15 pm

I have an object that I want to move along the X position, the movement coinciding with a bass beat. Unfortunetly I can only get soundkeys to move in between the min max values. How can I enable soundkeys to remember my current X position and then incremently move along the X whenever a bass beat hits. Is this possible ?

Thanks in advance.

Change the Fallof mode to "None (Integrate)".

See this example:

Awesome, thanks Peter.

On a side note, this works great in a 2D environment but as soon as you move to 3D it does'nt work out so well. Because you can't control X Y Z independently, your object placement goes haywire. I did, however find a solution on AE Enhancers though that allows you to control all three positional properties seperately by way of utilising slider controls and a small but of code. And it proved to be a life saver.

The link for others in the same boat as I was in.
