I'm rendering a fluid effect in Maya 2016. It's the second shot of a 3 shot sequence. The first shot is completed, so I need the second one to be "mid motion" of the fluid effect. It takes 48 frames for the effect to reach continuity of the first shot so:
I want to start my render from frame 48, however I need the effect to be calcuated to that point. If I set my render settings to start at 48 will I get the calculated effect, or will the dynamics start emitting at f48? It's about 35min per frame, so I wanted to ask before committing to rendering. I will be gone for about 5 hours today, so I want to render correctly (not do a 5 hour test) while I'm gone.
