I'm working on a model and after using various extrudes, vertex merges, booleans, etc. I have noticed these pesky edges on my model that I can see in the render. How do I smooth these out so the surface is smooth and the edges do not appear in the glare. I am new to modeling so please give me specific tips if you can :) thanks for any help!
It's only a few of the edges that are rough sharp and noticeable.

Have you tried rendering this to mr/rman and see what the results are?
The Maya UI tends to show oddities with normals on both NURBS/Poly at times.
You can try to up the polycount but not sure if you want that burden.
