I have a PNG with transparency mapped to a rectangle. I am using a direct light with ray traced shadows, and mental ray to render. The material is Lambert, with the PNG mapped to color and transparency.
You can see two shadows, the dark is the correct one for the character, but there's a "spill over" light shadow in the form of the rectangle which holds the PNG character. I can't seem to get rid of this light shadow no matter what I do. Any suggestions?
