Image Size Doesn't Match My Rendered Size

My render is set to HD 720, Size Units Pixels, Res 72, Device AR 1.77 and Pixel AR 1, Maintain ratio is on. Yet when I render, I get 960x540. For 1920x1080 it's rendering 1440x810.

This is odd because I just batch rendered 1920x1080 successfully overnight. I don't know what happened to mess up my settings but I am frustrated.

Update: The problem still exist but I've realized that for batch renders, it renders as specified (correctly). However for stills, no matter what format I select (tif, psd, jpg) the above issue persists.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Using: Maya 2014, Mac OS X (10.8.5)

I found a solution although I am still confused because I've never had to do these steps before:

"I would also check the film aspect ratio in your camera and make sure it matches your device aspect ratio in your render settings." - BurningFencePost

Hi,

your using a 'test resolution' which is a percentage of your current render resoloution

Make sure your in the Render menu set then under file menu choose Render>Test Resolution

You've probably worked it out by now but hope this helps.

Perfect, Leon. I've never heard of that before. Solved. Thank you!
