Here's my problem:
I want to replace several (very numerous) objects into instances while keeping their input connections (texture, animation). But as soon as I say "Modify -> Replace objects", all the connections are broken.
But I know instances can have different textures and animations, I tested it.
What a shame there isn't any option to keep them while replacing objects.
Plus, many forums ask this same question, but no one answered correctly, only a few particular cases have been solved.
So now that we are in Maya 2014, can we do this properly on several objects ?
