SouthPark: Maya + CorelDRAW

Hello,

I was wondering how South Park animation is done.

I know CorelDRAW is used to draw the vector characters and Maya is used to create it's animation, but what is the exact workflow?
What format the characters are exported to in order to import them into Maya without re-modeling them.
Does the export from CorelDRAW to Maya preserves the characters drawing?

Thanks!

The vectors are imported into Maya then converted as Faces (or Surfaces).
Animation is mostly key-framed probably using Set Driven Keys.
I saw the making of it years ago sorry Its been awhile.
