Why So Few Maya to After Effects Courses?

Why is it so hard to find an English training course like the one on video2brain's Spanish site called "Maya to After Effects for Motion Graphics?"

https://www.video2brain.com/mx/cursos/workshop-con-autodesk-maya-y-adobe-af...

I am familiar with C4D and use it on occasion, but I am better at Maya and would like a full course (1.5+ hours) on a Maya to AE workflow, preferably with Maya 2011 and up. Is that unreasonable?

What exactly would you like to see in regard to Maya to After Effects? I'm not really seeing what such a course would be discussing.

Good question, Ben.

I would say broadcast openers with video displays on geometry like those using 3D and AE on VideoHive. This isn't the best example, but...

I am familiar with but minimally skilled at using passes, baking animations, working with locators, etc. so I would like to see courses specifically for motion graphics using Maya and AE in abundance.

video2brain and 3DTi have such courses, but with cost and language barriers.

Alright, I see. There are a few pipeline courses out there, but those focus more on VFX rather than motion graphics. And on Nuke, rather than After Effects. So yeah, I see your point. I'd just go for separate tutorials for separate questions you have. 1 tutorial on render passes, 1 on using locator/null objects in Maya/AE, etc.

As far as workflows, you can try Digital Tutors and even Lynda dot com.
Compositing is pretty basic between the two apps but adding the 3D Camera can be tricky but doable.

Hi Eric. I've been a member of both for years but neither has one single basic tutorial on creating motion graphics in Maya for After Effects.

Yes, there are composting tutorials, but not one e.g. phone animation scene with a screen that can be composited to After Effects tutorial. Not one. In the meantime, there are a ton of Cinema 4D to After Effects tutorials. It makes no sense for such huge, reputable sites as Lynda and Digital Tutors to neglect this area.
