I'm working with Maya ncloth to create a 'bug-catching' net. I am trying to attach the net cloth to the net hoop. I am selecting the edge loop of the net and using a component to component constraint to attach it to the edge loop of the stick end. I can make everything work perfectly when just putting the net and the cloth together on its own.
I have an animated scene with a girl using the net, but the net cloth is not attached. When I try to use the same method of attaching, it does not work. The net cloth does not simulate and does not follow the net stick that has already been animated.
Is there a certain reason for this method to not work in a fully animated scene?
