Before I start I would like to say that I’m new to maya so the question may sound weird.
I imported a model into maya (a human character), after animating it I imported and parented a model (parented its bone) into the hand bone of the human (to make it look like he is holing the object through the animation in hand).
The problem is that both of the models (& bones) need to be exported separately. So the animation of the human skeleton in a different file and the object’s movement in a different file.
For that I need to get the child model(bone actually) to get it’s own key-framed animation*.
Is this possible?
More clear version:
Possible to make a parented object have it’s own animation which would play even if I’ll unparent it, other that aligning everything by hand?
*I know there are other way’s but I need the model to actually have these key frames.
If there will be problems understanding this, than tell me. The problem is hard to explain for me..
