extend motion path while preserve u-value keys?
on May 29, 2012 at 6:52:24 pm

Hi
I'm using a CV curve as my motion path for a ball's motion. And I've set some keys for the u-value + twisted the graph editor to change some parts of the speed. Now I want to extend this curve cause it is a long shot and I am trying to figure out all the different speeds for different little parts. But when I try to add points to the curve, maya just keeps warning me "cannot add points to curves with history" even though I delete the history of the curve. I also tried to created a new curve and aligned curves. But I would not be able to make the ball continue moving on the new extended curve.

Is there any way to extend my motion path while preserve u-value keys? Or have several different motion paths and put them together while have the smooth motion?

thanks!
