Tracking 2 objects at once?
on May 22, 2012 at 10:39:43 pm

Hello friends, long-time reader, but first time posting :D

I had a question about motion tracking. Basically I shot inside a church using a crane, my brother is in the scene pulling a big chain attached to 9 trackers. The idea is to replace the trackers by a huge rusted ball (dragging his sins).

I used Boujou to track the whole scene, which worked perfectly. But I have never tracked 2 things at once before... once imported to Maya, the camera moves accordingly to the crane, but now I want to create independent trackers for the 9 points I made in the shot, so that the rusted ball could follow the path. How do I do this?

I've used After Effects, but tracking the trackers and making the image of the ball follow them kinda takes the whole 3D idea away, especially that the lighting doesn't match.

What should I do?
