UV Mapping Attributes & Controls don't show up
on Feb 9, 2012 at 5:13:55 am

I've run into a strange bug in Maya and I have no idea how to fix.
When I try to map anything (planar map, cylindrical etc), while the mapping works the controls won't show up. Even the projection attribute in the attr editor is missing.

The only one that seems to work is automatic mapping.

When I go into the script editor, the code after automatic mapping is:
polyAutoProjection -lm 0 -pb 0 -ibd 1 -cm 0 -l 2 -sc 1 -o 1 -p 6 -ps 0.2 -ws 0 metal_lid.f[0:1088];
// polyAutoProj1 //

When I use planar mapping:

polyProjection -ch 0 -type Planar -ibd on -md x metal_lid.f[0:1088];

It won't even create the polyProjection name so I can't even select it via script.

Anyone have any solutions?

It could be that your Construction History is turned off. Make sure that it's on and see if it makes a difference.
