How to call an object from a MEL file?
on Dec 31, 2011 at 6:37:34 pm

Hello everybody,

I have made several objects, and I want to use them as a mel script sp thata whenever clicking on that script, the object gets created. How I can achieve this?

I'd export the models to disk and then have the script invoke the 'Import' command with appropriate settings.

Sorry, I should have said 'the file command' instead of 'the import command.' There is a flag to make it import. In your case it would just be:
file -import "import/cube.ma";You just have to make sure the path works correctly and that should work.
