Copy out Y axis numbers from an object for every frame.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows an easier way to copy a polygons Y axis numbers for every frame for 252 frames. My MEL scripting skills are not good enough for writing such script. So I have been manually doing that, and it is very very labor exhausting and very easy to make mistakes.

I would really appreciate any help. This number crunching is killing me.

Thanks in advance

This shouldn't be too tricky, but as you say, you would need some scripting skills.

Do you want the information stored as a variable, or printed out into the script editor, or stored as a file?

Here's a version that will store it as a variable for you. You can then print that variable to see the values in your script editor:

float $values[];
for ($i = 1; $i < 253; $i++)
$values[`size($values)`] = `getAttr -t $i object.ty`;
Of course, you'll have to replace 'object' with the name of your object.
