Hi there

One thing i've had very little experience building in maya is peaople...I imagine it aslo the most difficult thing to build too. I was wondering before I start what would be the most common way to do it. Polygons or nurbs, and how best to sculpt the face. Any help would be appreciated.

Note: I have not yet modeled a person, nor have I used NURBS on a serious base.

That said, I very frequently use the polygon/smooth-preview/sub-d workflow. It has the best of both worlds: easy polygon workflow, but with smooth surfaces.

And ofcourse, work with quads, always. It'll save you loads of trouble.

Hi Ben

Thanks for your reply. I'll try that out. I'm finding modelling faces the most difficult. I'm okay at getting a rough shape but when it comes to the details I get a bit lost. I'm dreading texturing.
