I've been struggling with a poly model with some non-manifold edges (or what I assume are non-manifold edges). Cleanup identifies them but doesn't fix them (I'm in 2011). The problem is, it's preventing me from converting to subD, and also it's making a UV border edge right where the non-manifold geo is. I've attached a picture of the model with the shader applied. I don't know how to fix it because I'm just learning Maya, so please if anyone knows how I can either fix the geo or tweak the UV map to make it work, it would be very appreciated. I don't know how it got to be non-manifold, but these were all spots where I was merging vertices to connect two faces. Any ideas on how I can prevent this error in the future? Thanks!
