Maya Batch Render Problem!!

Is it possible to batch render in stages to avoid crashes, for example, render 200 frames at a time?

Also...How do you render out images that can be opened? I set my render options to Jpeg but if I find my batch rendered frames you can't actual open them?? I ned them all to be images that can be edited in photoshop...how do I do this??

Late reply: Yes, you can. Go to render settings > common > set the frame range to whatever amount of frames you'd like to render. In this case, startframe = 1, endframe = 200.

Your second question sound confusing. If you set it to jpeg it should work just fine. How large are the files? If they're just a few kb, something is wrong. But I suppose you noticed that much.
