can't modify shape sizes anymore

I used to be able to modify a cube's x y and z dimensions in the attribute editor under a tab which was third from the left.... it is no longer there for some reason. Can someone help me turn this tab back on? I am running Maya 8.0 Thanks!

Hi,
Did you try Display-UI Elements_restore UI Elements?

That didn't do anything that I can see. Thanks for the reply

It sounds like you have deleted history on your object, which removed the 'make poly cube' node from your scene. If that's what happened, you can't get it back without creating a new cube.

Even when I create new shapes that node doesn't show up. It's like it just disappeared altogether! I am really at my wits end, and may end up having to re-install because I use that node all of the time. Thanks!

Creating nodes with history is an option. Look for the 'History' button on your toolbar. It looks like a little scroll of paper, and right now it probably has an X through it. (Appearance may vary depending on your version of Maya.) Click on it to reactivate construction history and all newly-created primitives should have creation nodes attached from then on.
