I've been using maya fluids to create a swirling storm as if we're looking at it from space. I've got to the point where i'm very happy with the motion of the clouds and make it more believable I have to slow the motion down because a storm of this size won't seem to be moving very fast (although it is.)
I have tried setting the simulation rate scale in the fluid shape node, i've tried setting the nCache sample rate and i've tried changing the overall frame-rate in the maya preferences. However each of these solutions seem to change the motion of the fluid i've been working on rather than just slowing it. I'm after the same motion but slower and that doesn't seem possible so far.
