Hello!

I'm using Maya 8.5 to edit a navmesh (big object covering walkable area for Ai players) for a game ( i dont want to go into too much detail with that) and because of an error i got i need to find one certain polygon.

Now the navmesh has way over 20k polygons, are the polygons in Maya numbered? The navmesh is one object (.obj), but i need to get to Polygon 6565 and get rid of it.

Anyone have an idea how to do that?

Hey Adam,

I just pulled this up by selecting a polygon face on a model and viewing the echo'd command in the Script Editor. So try opening up the script editor and entering this -

select -r navmesh.f[6565];

Replace "navmesh" with whatever the name is of the object in outliner.

That oughta find the face for you.

Hey Thaaaanks very much!

Much appreciated!

If you're interested or just wanna take a look what a navmesh is, i wrote a highlight on our forums once:

that gives you a rough idea :)

Cheers!
