Model rotate = messy texture

Model rotate = messy texture

Please help.

I have used the 3D paint tool to create my textures. When I rotate (this does not happen when I move it) my model the textures go crazy. I think this has something to do with projections. I was hoping there was a way of fixing textures to models so that when you rotated it the textures would stay in place. It took a long time to paint so I would prefer it if I did not have to recreate the textures from scratch.
I can't find any info on how to solve this. Please Help.

Hello Luke, You should probably "bake" your textures onto your model. There's some good information on this procedure in the Maya help section of the program. I'ts pretty easy to do so don't stress, just do a search for texture baking and that should be a good starting point! Hope that helps. STU
