Hey I was wondering how people might go about making a raspberry in Maya.
I've tried making it a few times. I usually start with a polygon cube and then split up the polygon. I extrude the different squares but I either make the extrusions too big so they over lap or else I make them not big enough so it looks like a piece of corn.
I had considered just putting a bunch of spheres together however I can't have them overlap, which seems like a difficult feat.
I am about to turn to bump mapping but I feel as if bump mapping will not give me the depth that I want for a raspberry. I also not fully versed in making textures loop.
The model will eventually be rigged and move as a cartoon character.
