on Aug 29, 2010 at 1:15:02 pm

can any one help me how to limit an attribute within a specific range.

i am perparing a very simple rig. now what i want is to limit a controler within a range so that if i for example rotate it in z direction it shud rotate up to a certain extent and then attribute should lock and no rotation shud happen further.
so all in all i want my controler to start from a specific value and end till a specfic value.

i tried using clamp and min, max functions in expression editor but of no use. please help me

Hey Puneet,
All you have to do is select the controller, and look in the attribute editor. Look under "Limit Information" and then go the "rotate" section and open that up. You will see some check boxes that have something like "Rot Limit X", "Rot Limit Y" and "Rot Limit Z". When you check the boxes, they will go from being grayed out to white and now they will be editable. Just put in the Min and Max values and you should be all set!

Good Luck,
Chris
