jiggle deformer setting or glitch???
on Aug 1, 2010 at 7:54:17 pm

All I'm doing is painting some jiggle weight onto the belly of my model. Translate him and the jiggle works great, rotate him and the jiggle builds momentum off itself slowly snapping back and forth until the wave is blasting his belly 50 feet in all directions.

Instead of jiggling and calming down, the jiggle exponentially increases. What am i doing wrong?

You probably have no damping.

i have damping on. I am using default settings.

I've played with damping, jiggle weight, everything.

And it works GREAT for translation movement. Jump him up and down and it's perfect.

Any rotation causes the jiggle to go forever. It does not stop, it is reacting to its own movement, jiggling its own jiggle.

Create sphere, paint jiggle to front, rotate: screwed.

Problem with my physics engine or something?
