I'm new to Maya having used iClone4 and Antics3d.
I am wondering if there is a way of using Maya in a PreVis mode to attach an character, with say a walking animation, onto a object like a poly plane which is then moved along a Motion Path. Thus simplifying and hence speeding up the business of moving characters around a set. I can achieve this with a non animated character but not a walking one with no forward motion included in the animation.
My idea is to speed up the preliminary steps of character and camera choreography so that the real time and effort in animation only goes on those frames that are included in the cut..
