mirror geometry

Hi
Im having a problem with mirror geometry, Im creating a human head and want to merge verticies for some reason all the forward verticies are connecting at one point about mid way around the lip of my model and simularly at the back of the head. I have inspected my geometry, started again from scratch making another head, checked normals, deleted history etc etc. I have now used the old school combine and merge way, but would like to understand whats wrong for the future
thanks gary

Hi

The mirror geometry command has a setting called Merge Threshold, try tweaking that till you do get your vertices to merge, but not to big that it grabs neighbors.

Cheers
